SHE
She learns to get close to life
so that when she speaks,
she speaks of reality,
and when she listens,
she hears only the truth.
The world is her footstool,
her adventure, her lover,
her vulnerability
and her pride.
She becomess an intricate part
of it's byways,
and fills it with her spirit:
no rural sort is she.
She is ever seeking battle,
wanting to know
how sharp her teeth are
and what will fell her
She does not crowd herself in
with her past or her present;
but she gives herself
room for growth.
She is ever at the helm,
so that from it's enviornment
she can absorb it's wisdom.
She cannot rest in peace
unless her strengththat day
was used for noble work.
She covers up her desires
to hide them from her view
when she has work to do.
